About the Event

Immerse your child in a world of magic! Inspire them to seek out new ways of  using technology, chemistry, and structural engineering. Students will  learn that some magic tricks really ARE magic thanks to electrical  inventions, physics concepts, and creative thinking. Over the course of  this week, each student will invent their own magical robots that might  surprise you with what they can do!

Ask your child: would you want to invent a magical robot that can move around and make noise WITHOUT YOU TOUCHING IT?!

Students will:

  • Reverse engineer real magic tricks and learn how to perform them on their own
  • Master vision sensors and RFID technology in order to plan out magical robotic interactions
  • Manipulate natural forces like magnetism and surface tension to perform engaging tricks

Our goal is  to directly translate the awe and amazement that comes from a great  magic trick into a passion for science and engineering. We also want  students to build confidence in presentation & performance!

Note: During  all of our camp weeks, we prepare lessons and materials in an age  appropriate way. For example, 3-4 year-olds might receive a circuit  board that can control a motor while 8-12 year-olds would wire and  program their own electronics.

*All weekly themes include fundamental robotics & engineering projects.
